Shooting professionally since the age of 18 (beginning at the Sydney Morning Herald) Jack's career has taken him around the globe, working as a photographer for the world's foremost international picture agencies (Getty Images, Reuters, AP and Bloomberg).
His commercial focus and ability to work with international brands has evolved from a high pressure background.
For 14 years, he shot international sport - as a staff photographer for both Australia's leading daily newspapers and then world picture agencies - covering such events as: The Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Formula 1, UK Premiership League soccer, the Rugby World Cup, President's Cup Golf, the Dubai World Cup and Davis Cup Tennis finals.
From 1999-2002 he worked as Official Photographer to The Australian Cricket Team.
In 2003, Jack moved to the world's Formula One circuit working for F1's pre-eminent photo agency, LAT, based in London. An extremely coveted role, LAT only select 5 photographers - from a world wide field - to cover any grand prix, and in doing so, they shoot directly for the teams.
This role enabled him to begin working with various global sponsors and saw him expand his photographic repertoire - moving away from sports action - towards high end business, portraiture, food, wine and luxury travel.
In 2004, he returned to Australia to establish his own brand of corporate photography.
Jack is now directly commissioned by companies - both in Australia and internationally - for projects across: high end business, portraiture, food, wine, travel and editorial features.
He is a former overall individual winner of The Australian Press Photographer of the Year Award (the highest award possible within the profession in Australia) and has multiple Section victories in Australia's National Press Photography awards.
Between 2004 - 2009 he worked as the chief contracted photographer in Australia for Bloomberg News - the world's largest financial news wire service. This role saw him photograph Australia's leading ASX 200 corporations and their people, on a daily basis. He resigned from this position in 2009.
In 2008 his portrait of 'Weather Girl' was named as the highly commended runner up winner in Australia's richest contemporary Photographic / Art award - The Moran Portraiture Prize (judged from some 3000 entries) and in both 2008 and 2009, he was named as one of the 'Top Ten Sports Photographers in Australia' by the Yaffa Publishing Group (publishers of 'Australian Photography', 'Capture Magazine').
He has previously hosted a 6 part national TV series discussing photography on Australia's Foxtel network ('Digital Snap' - 2006) and his own radio program on Australia's highest rating talk back station - 2GB - in Sydney (2006-2008).
In late 2009 he was invited to shoot the interiors of The Sydney Opera House western wing foyer, directly for The Sydney Opera House. The iconic building subsequently displayed the images inside its famous walls.
In early 2010, out of the 37,617 images entered worldwide into the professional competition, Jack's work has been rated amongst the top ten photographers, by the Honorary Judging Committee in the Professional Sports category for The Sony World Photography Awards.
In his spare time, he works closely with The Steve Waugh Foundation - the charity established by former Australian Test cricket captain Steve Waugh, which supports youths with rare diseases.
Working in a freelance capacity means he is available to shoot for your company.
